Kong Active’s Nylon Tunnel measures 24 inches by 9 inches and is made from nylon fabric that makes a crinkly noise to attract cats. There’s also a pretty large peek-a-boo hole on the top where cats can stick their heads out while exploring or just chilling.
SmartyKat’s Crackle Chute Collapsible Tunnel is similar to the Kong one, with a decently sized window at the top for peeking out or playing hide-and-seek. It’s a bit larger, measuring 35 inches long by 9.5 inches in diameter. The lightweight fabric of this tunnel makes a crackly noise that’s supposed to grab your cat’s interest, although our cats seemed bothered by the noise.
Frisco’s Peek-A-Boo Cat Chute Tri-Tunnel combines three tunnels in one that meet in the center. Each tunnel measures 18 inches long while the diameter of each opening measures 9.5 inches. There is an opening at the top for peeking out, as well as some hanging toys for swatting at.
Petlinks’ Twinkle Chute Lighted Tunnel features sparkling lights that easily switch on and off. It also includes a good size peek-a-boo opening at the top and measures 35 inches long by 9.5 inches in diameter at the opening. The crackling sound this makes is much more intense than the other tunnels. Cats that are fascinated by strange noises might be into this. Ours on the other hand seemed to be turned off by the crinkliness.

Should I get it?
Harley and Lola tend to prefer playing with cardboard boxes and plastic wrapping over actual toys. That was definitely the case with most of these tunnels. The only tunnel Lola showed interest in going inside of was Frisco’s Tri-Tunnel. The unique shape and toys on the inside set it apart from the others. None of the cats showed interest in exploring the other tunnels, although Lola did seem to enjoy playing with the strings on the outside of the SmartyKat Crackle Chute and Petlinks Twinkle Chute.
