Blank Slate Board Game Review (USAopoly)

Blank Slate Board Game
What It Is

Blank Slate is a party game for 3 to 8 players aged 8 and up, and will take you 30 minutes to play an average game. To start, each player chooses a dry erase slate and dry erase marker, then writes their name on the scoreboard depending on their slate color. Next, a 'Selector' is chosen. The Selector draws a card from the Word Cue cards and reads the incomplete prompt allowed; for example the prompt could be, 'Sky _______', or '_______ Town.' Each player then scribes a word that they think best completes the prompt. Once done, everyone compares answers.

- If two players match a word, they each get three points.

- If three or more players match, they get one point each.

- If no one matches, no points are awarded.

The Selector role rotates clockwise and the round repeats. The first player to earn 25 points is the winner!

This game is a lot of fun in several ways. It's great for ice-breaking sessions, and also perfect for groups that are already super close. Plus, the strategy is surprisingly deep. Do you pick the obvious association and secure a single point, or go for more of a risky pick and try to get 3 points? It all depends on your teammates. No two games can ever be the same!

Is It Fun?

This game is a lot of fun! It's great to play with people you know and with whom you have inside jokes, but you can also use it as an icebreaker game. The idea is brilliant in this way!

Who It’s For

Blank Slate is an excellent game for friends, family, or practical strangers aged 8 and older.

What To Be Aware Of

- To keep the game in good condition, wipe all surfaces clean before putting them away. Each dry erase marker has an eraser on the cap, but we recommend using a paper towel instead.
