Pump it up and let it fly. The Aero-Storm Pneumatic Airplane uses air power to fly up to 100 yards – no batteries required. The kit comes with an air pump, a foam plane, and an instruction manual and learning guide. In order to pump the plane, you first empty its air reservoir by spinning the propeller. Then, you press the plane’s air intake onto the pump nozzle. You’ll need to pump the handle fully up and down 20 to 25 times. Then, remove the plane from the pump. There are a few guidelines for how to hold and throw the plane for best results, and once you get the hang of that, you can try performing stunts with the plane, such as corkscrews, bank turns, and loopty loops. The instruction manual also provides information about the science behind flight and how this specific toy works.

Should I get it?

You’ll probably need a large outdoor space free from obstacles to play with this plane, and there’s going to be a learning curve to flying and doing the stunts. But kids and adults ages 8 and up will like that this plane doesn’t require batteries and it’s easy to power up with the air pump. It flies really well, too.

Pros

Doesn’t need batteries
Fun to watch the plane fly
Plane can perform stunts

Cons

Plane doesn’t fly that long
Learning curve
