Editor's Review
The Grave Digger Trax RC is a rather fetching looking toy. The body of the truck is decorated with the iconic graphic of the Grave Digger, complete with cemetery and spectral ghoul, and a couple easter eggs too. It will require only 2 AAA batteries of your own to get started, both for the controller. The RC itself has a port for a micro USB charging cable. A full charge will net you 20 minutes of play time before needing a recharge. Now that may not seem like a long time, but in order to pull off what this RC can do, it needs the energy!
To start, press the button on both the RC and the controller to quickly pair. The controller is fairly simple, with the left stick controlling forward and backward movement, and the right stick in charge of turning. The RC moves a lot faster than you’d expect, and it’s actually pretty loud, so brace yourself for that too! You can do spins by holding left or right while at rest, and you can even balance on the front bumper by pressing back and then forward immediately after. The rubber treads on the tracks enable it to get traction on any solid surface, and push any malleable surface for propulsion. This, coupled with the lightweight foam body, allows this RC to go darn near anywhere, over rocks, dirt, water, snow, or any manner of obstacle. Obviously we can’t show off every type of terrain, but it given its performance during our tests, we don’t doubt its ability. It may have a tough time with lava, but that’s about it. Make sure to keep the charging port well covered by the purple cover, and generally, do not submerge the RC completely.
