Editor's Review
Start a new Christmas tradition with The North Pole Gnome. Inside the box, you’ll find a plush gnome and a hardcover book by Dan Ramirez that explains this new tradition. Sure the gnome, with its bean-filled bottom, makes for nice holiday decor, but the rascally gnome is actually Santa’s helper, tasked with monitoring the Naughty Meter. During the day, kids can play with the gnome and take him with them wherever they go, but at night, the gnome must sleep in the child’s stocking. Nighttime is when the gnome reports back to Santa on whether the child has been naughty or nice. You don’t want the naughty meter getting too close to the wrong side. Each box also includes a special code to be used in The North Pole Gnome app (which was not available at the time of this review) so kids can give their gnome a nickname and unlock more fun.

Should I get it?
This is a nice alternative to other Christmas traditions, such as The Elf on the Shelf. With The North Pole Gnome, parents don’t have to do anything other than read the story with their kids and let kids play with the gnome. The only rule is that the gnome must sleep in a stocking at night. Kids will have fun taking their gnome on all sorts of adventures, whether real or imagined, and it might help kids be on their best behavior throughout the holiday season.
