Have you ever heard of a Spoonerism? It’s an occurrence in speech in which corresponding consonants and/or vowels are switched between words in a phrase. And the fast-paced game Pobody’s Nerfect is all about them! The game, for two or more players ages 8 and up, comes with 300 PoNo cards in three difficulty levels. The object is to win cards by guessing the spoonerisms faster than your friends.

If you’re playing with all card levels, you’ll take turns rolling the dice to see which card deck level you choose a card from and which question you read on the card. Flip over the timer and then read what’s on the card slowly. If a player guesses correctly before time runs out, they win the card. If no one guesses, the card reader wins the card. Each card is worth points. The yellow easy cards are worth one point each, the aqua medium cards are worth two points each, and the hard navy cards are worth three points each. So at the end of the game, you count up how many points you have, and the player with the most points wins.

While this game is for ages 8 and up, the navy hard cards have some “spicy” questions and should only be played with players ages 16 and up.

Should I get it?

This game is very easy to learn, but it can be challenging to figure out the spoonerism. For instance, would you know “Knee On Say Bowls”? How about “He’s a Fart Smeller”? If you’re a fan of word games and want to add some silliness to your next game night, then this game would be a great addition.
