Editor's Review
Foros is a 3-D four-in-a-row game with three ways to play, not to mention that you can use the game pieces to create wooden works of art when the game is over. It comes with 24 hardwood cubes, 24 hardwood cylinders, storage trays for the game pieces, a wooden game board, and instructions. You can play the game with two to four players ages 6 and up.
The game rules are very sparse, but the game is designed to be easy to learn. In all three versions, you must get four of your pieces in a row. In The Wall, you’re stacking pieces along the center line of the game board to get four in a row vertically. In Stonehenge, the pieces get stacked in the circular path on the board, and you’ve got to get four in a row diagonally. And if you flip over the game board, you can play The Grid, where you have to get four in a row across. If you cause a stack to topple, you lose. If all pieces have been placed and no one has won, continue playing as each player moves one of their pieces to a new location.Â
The instruction booklet also offers other ways to play, from creating works of art to solving puzzles and playing other games and activities.

Should I get it?
The three main ways to play the game require strategic thinking, but this is not a strategy game with tons of pages of instructions to get through. You really can just sit down and start playing. We also like that there are lots of other ways to play with the game pieces, and we’re sure families will come up with a few ideas of their own. Our kid tester liked seeing how high she could stack the pieces before the tower toppled.
