Spend a day with Barbie inside a Dreamhouse that you get to build! The MEGA Barbie: The Movie Dreamhouse is a 1,795-piece construction set that lets fans ages 10 and up build a replica of the Dreamhouse as seen in the new movie. The three-story home includes a kitchen, bar, bedroom, and spa, not to mention a spiral staircase and pool with slide. Plus the set folds open to give you 37 inches of play space. The set also comes with four buildable micro-dolls: Ken, Barbie, and two fashion mannequins that slide in and out of Barbie’s closet. Additional fashions, food, and pool accessories inspire imaginative play and storytelling.
Because of the large number of pieces, this construction set will take some time to build. (We split it up over several days.) Not all of the instructions were easy to follow, and not all of the pieces easily fit together.Â

Should I get it?
While this construction toy seems to be geared more toward adult collectors, there are lots of play features that make it perfect for younger Barbie fans, too. Any age fan will love the accessories and details that bring the house from the movie to life and inspire imaginative play. Just keep in mind that you’ll need patience when building this Dreamhouse because the process is not always easy.
