LEGO VIDIYO is a way for kids to get creative by making their own music videos starring physical LEGO pieces. Simply download the free app, scan in the minifigure and unique BeatBits, and start creating. Kids have access to an extensive Universal Music Group library of chart toppers and classics, and there are a variety of LEGO VIDIYO sets to choose from. Maybe you want to check out the maraca-shaking Party Llama, the HipHop Robot, the Alien DJ, the Punk Pirate, the Candy Mermaid, or the Unicorn DJ. You can even purchase blind boxes of bandmates!
Each BeatBox set comes with the BeatBox, which doubles as storage and display; a minifigure; 16 decorative BeatBits pieces; a brick-built scan stage; and accessories. Kids can style the BeatBox using the LEGO pieces.
To play and create, download and open the app, and scan the minifigure to reveal its stage persona. Using augmented reality, the character appears right in your own world, so you can record a music video on your bed or on your dad’s head! Then scan the BeatBits to unlock special effects (such as the colorful tropico techno effect), challenges, and more all within the app. Once kids create their music videos, they can share with other creators in the kid-safe social feed.
From within the app, kids can also take band photos, change the name of their band, edit the layout of your band (who gets to be the lead singer), and even add dancers.

Should I get it?
Kids will love collecting the different characters and experimenting with the different music and effects. There are so many ways to create, not just from creating a music video but also customizing these digital bands. And the song selection is really diverse, introducing kids to classics by Elton John and more contemporary hits from Ariana Grande.
