I don’t consider myself to be a very competitive person but for some reason whenever I’m at a Halloween party with a pumpkin carving contest (and yes, I have been to many of these), I feel the need to kick butt. Fortunately, I’ve never been to a party with any of the people who carved the pumpkins featured in the Dvice post “31 geeky jack-o’-lanterns to inspire your Halloween pumpkin carving” because these pumpkins are amazing.
In addition to pumpkin carving, there are many Halloween-related toys, games, and even Lego sets coming out every year. There are plenty of Halloween costumes, too. They reflect our changing tastes, fashion and culture trends, and even politics (think of politicians’ face masks).
