KeyFit 35 ClearTex Infant Car Seat Review

We’re reviewing the Obsidian one today. It offers more headrest height and legroom for extended rear-facing use so it adjusts to your child. It’s easy to install in any car and has a breathable, UPF 50+ canopy with zip-open mesh panel and zip-open, full coverage privacy shield. The ClearTex features a five position, easy extended headrest system that raises with the harness to accommodate growth up to 32″ tall, allowing you to keep your little one in the same rear-facing car seat for longer. The integrated anti-rebound bar provides added stability for every ride while offering extended legroom for your growing baby. It has a removable, ergonomic newborn positioner that provides added support for infants weighing 4 to 11 pounds. The car seat carrier clicks effortlessly into the included-stay-in-car base and compatible Chicco strollers for easy, streamlined travel. Its Premium LATCH connectors and SuperCinch force-multiplying tightener helps achieve a secure fit with a fraction of the effort; no longer will you have to struggle to put your car seat in the car. Using the One-hand ReclineSure spring-loaded leveling foot works in tandem with the RideRight bubble level, it helps you verify and achieve the proper car seat angle every time. The LockSure steel-reinforced belt system helps achieve a secure fit with your vehicle belt. The carrier shell is lined with EPS energy-absorbing foam for improved impact protection so you can be sure that your little one will be safe as you drive. The seat pad is easy to remove and machine washable. Make sure to machine wash the fabrics separately in cold water on a delicate cycle. Do not use bleach and allow it to drip dry. I love the ClearTex’s full cover canopy as it keeps the kids safe from sunlight as I drive. It’s easy to click in and release makes it easy to install in our car, which is awesome because I can move this from my car to my wife’s with ease.
