Editor's Review
Whether indoors or outdoors, there are fun games from eeBoo to keep kids entertained. The Indoor Scavenger Hunt and Outdoor Scavenger Hunt are finding games where kids must find things shown on the cards they pick. Each game comes with 50 four-inch by four-inch cards. These are great games, sold separately, for solo play, group play, and parent-child play. Each player draws a card, and then they go find something in the house or outside of the house (depending on what version of the game you’re playing) that matches what’s on the card. Some of the cards show objects, while others have icons to indicate attributes that your object must have, such as color, size, pattern, and shape. The back of each card includes a word or phrase in four languages to clarify what the image indicates. When the player finds their object, they don’t have to pick it up. They simply come back to start, show their card, and report on what they found and where. You can play the game in a race if you want.
Sea Memory & Matching Game is a classic memory game featuring Linda Bleck’s illustrations of sea creatures. The game comes with 36 two-inch by two-inch tiles for making 18 pairs. Lay the tiles out in a grid face-down, and then take turns flipping over two cards at a time. If you make a match, take those cards. If not, flip the cards back over. As other players flip over cards, pay attention so you can remember what’s been flipped over and where it is. Once all the matches have been made, the player with the most matches wins. This game is made with recycled board and printed on FSC-certified paper using vegetable-based inks.
