The Hollywood numbers crunchers are still counting the weekend’s box office tally but as of right now, it looks like we have a tie between two new movies for first place. The latest estimates have both End of Watch and House at the End of the Street earning $13 million with another new movie, Trouble with The Curve, close on their heals with an estimated $12.7 million. It should be an interesting day as the estimates turn into actuals and any of these three new movies could claim the top spot.
The weekend proved less exciting for the other new movie, Dredd, which took in a terrible $6.3 million and landed in 6th place. Check out my weekend movie preview post for more information and trailers for these new movies.
Following the weekend’s new movies, Finding Nemo 3D swam into 4th with roughly $9.4 million. Nemo is having tough time with his 3D release and has earned less than half of The Lion King 3D‘s $61.5 million 10-day total.
