Yesterday at an event in New York City, I revealed Time To Play’s first ever Power Ups List. Like the annual Most Wanted List, the Power Ups List is a list of the video games that we think will be the most fun and sought after items of the upcoming holiday season.

Here are the games!

Kirby’s Epic Yarn
From Nintendo
Rated: Everyone
$49.99

Kirby’s Epic Yarn is an adventure game that introduces a new, arts and crafts look for the series that is based on animated yarn and a world of cloth and textiles. Everything in Epic Yarn is made out of yarn and cloth, including Kirby who is rendered as a yarn outline. Game players will have the ability to unwind Kirby from his familiar form and transform him into a variety or yarn forms including a submarine, tank and an off-road truck. The entire fabric environment is also highly interactive and pulling on stray threads reveals hidden areas where Kirby can literally go behind the scenes.

The stunning visuals and unique game play of Kirby’s Epic Yarn will make this a must play game for gamers of all ages and experience levels. Look for Epic Yarn in stores on October 17 for Nintendo Wii.

Disney Epic Mickey
From Disney Interactive Studios
Rated: Everyone 10+
$49.99

Forget everything you know about Mickey Mouse being a cute and giggly character because he is about to show you that he has the tools to tackle an awesome adventure.  Epic Mickey finds the famous mouse in an alternate universe called Wasteland, where Disney’s long forgotten characters and attractions from the 1930s and 1940s reside. Playing as Mickey, you will be armed with paint and paint thinner, which will allow you to explore and change Wasteland while trying to rescue Mickey’s forgotten cartoon friends and find the source of evil that is destroying the land.  Players will have to find creative solutions to challenges in the game that will lead to various outcomes and possibilities.

Disney Epic Mickey is due in stores on November 30 for Nintendo Wii and is expected to be rated Everyone 10+.

Dance Central
From MTV Games
Rated: Teen
$49.99

Dance Central is a video-game that requires players to get up and dance to the beat by hitting full body poses and moves at specific times. The game features tracks from some of the
hottest artists of today and years past including  Lady Gaga,
No Doubt, M.I.A., Bell Biv DeVoe and Salt-N-Pepa among others. Unlike other dance games that come with some sort of device that you have to hold or stand on, Dance Central doesn’t require anything other than your body–there are no game controllers, sensor pads or dance mats. Instead, Dance Central is one of the first games that utilizes the new Kinect Sensor for Xbox. Kinect turns your entire body into a game controller through a full-body tracking camera system.

Dance Central will be available exclusively for Kinect for Xbox 360 on November 4. Kinect arrives in stores on the same day and will work with all models of Xbox 360 consoles. The suggested retail price for the Kinect is $149.99.
