Today is the day that the new PlayStation, the PlayStation 4 or PS4, goes on sale in the US.
The new system has all the bells and whistles that you might expect. It has a kick-butt, state of the art graphics processor, a newly designed Dualshock 4 wireless controller and an increased emphasis on social aspects of gaming. There’s a batch of entertainment apps for watching TV and movies, a Blu-Ray player and PlayStation Plus, the PS membership service, has been made over.
So what does all of this mean for you and your family? Basically, the PS4 sounds like its shaping up to be The console for hardcore gamers.
The basic PS 4 system with a 500 GB hard drive retails for $399.99. It is sold-out all over the Internet so you might have to head to an offline store to find it.
Stay tuned for my full review of the PS4 (as soon as I get one) and in the meantime, follow me on Twitter, , for more game stuff.
