Editor's Review
If you’d like to solve the puzzle, then you need the Wheel of Fortune Electronic Game. This handheld version of the popular TV game show includes 300 puzzles, two game modes, and sound effects from the show. You will need three AAA batteries, which are not included. The game is for ages 8 and up.
On the side of the game unit, you’ll be able to switch between Classic and Toss Up game modes. There’s also a volume button with three levels of volume.
If you’re playing the Classic mode, the puzzle category appears on the screen, and you’ll press the spin button. Press a letter on the keyboard to guess that letter, and if that letter is in the puzzle, it will appear on the screen. Spin, guess, and repeat until you think you know the answer. When you’re ready to solve, press the Solve button, and use the keyboard and arrows to fill in the board with the solution. Then, press Solve again to lock in your answer. If you’re correct, the puzzle score will be added to your game score. Just remember that consonants are free, but vowels cost $250, and if the wheel lands on Bankrupt, you’ll lose the money you’ve earned so far – just like in the real game!
If you’re playing in Toss Up mode, you’re trying to solve the puzzle before all the letters appear. Press Spin to determine how much the puzzle is worth, and then pay attention as the letters reveal themselves. Press Solve when you’re ready to guess, and use the keyboard and arrows to fill in your solution. When you press Solve again, you’ll lock in your answer, and if you’re correct, the puzzle score will be added to your game score. The earlier you solve the puzzle, the higher your score will be!
