Tonies Audio Characters Dr. Seuss, Matilda, Peppa Pig, and Carry Case Review

Last year, TTPM reviewed the Tonies Starter Set, an audio entertainment system that keeps kids engaged without the use of screens. This year, Tonies released a Carrying Case to make it easy to keep your Tonies organized, as well as brand-new Tonies featuring some of kids’ favorite characters.

Let’s give you a refresher if you missed our original review. The system consists of a five-inch Toniebox cube with soft padding on all sides. You place a Tonies figure on top to start playing the music and stories associated with that figure. Wifi is required to set everything up, but then you can play and listen with your Toniebox offline. Creative Tonies let you record yourself reading a favorite story or upload favorite music, while the other Tonies, such as the new Dr. Seuss, Matilda, and On the Road With Peppa Tonies, come with built-in stories and songs.

The Dr. Seuss audiobook features 40 minutes of content, including the classics The Cat in the Hat, Dr. Seuss the ABC Book, There’s a Wocket in My Pocket, If I Ran the Circus, Do You Know How Lucky You Are?, and The Cat in the Hat Comes Back.

Matilda is a 72-minute audiobook of the Roald Dahl novel read by Kate Winslet.

On the Road with Peppa is approximately one hour of nine Peppa Pig stories.

If you have a lot of Tonies for your Toniebox, store them in the Tonies Carrying Case. It has 10 elastic mesh pockets to keep your Tonies safe while you’re on the go. Available in a variety of colors, the outer shell is durable and sturdy with a Tonies-shaped zipper pull and carrying handle. Keep in mind that this is not a case for the Toniebox. It’s designed to keep loose Tonies organized and contained.
