Music-loving kids want the best music-listening experience just like Mom and Dad. So iClever developed the OWS01 Open Ear Headphones for Kids. These are worn hooked around the ear with a stretchy neckband behind the head, but unlike Air Pods or ear buds, these do not go into the ear. These Bluetooth headphones use air conduction so as not to block the ear canal, providing a safe listening experience for kids. For more listening safety, the headphones have two volume levels. The default is 85 decibels, but if you press the plus and minus volume buttons at the same time, it will switch the volume limit to 74 decibels.

There are volume and power controls and a charging port next to the right earpiece. A charging cable is included, and it takes about two hours to get a full charge.

These are available in pink or blue.

Should I get it?

These are a good option for kids ages 3 and up who like listening to music because the overall design of these headphones is meant to protect a child’s hearing. We like that these are comfortable to wear, don’t go into the ear canal, and offer good sound quality. Adults with small heads and ears may also find these preferable to ear buds.
