Editor's Review
My First Barbie is a line of larger dolls with poseable, soft-touch bodies that are easy for preschoolers to dress. There are four dolls in the line. Brooklyn is an African-American doll wearing a lilac dress with necklace print, polka dot puff sleeves, and ruffled hem. She comes with a floral headband and pink heels, plus a brush and a plush poodle.
Teresa wears a pink visor in her long brown hair. Her blue dress has a necklace graphic with ruffled sleeves and a striped flare skirt. She wears purple platform shoes, has a matching purple brush, and cuddles up with a plush bunny.
Renee is an Asian-American doll with flower-shaped sunglasses. Her sleeveless dress features ruffled straps, a purse graphic, and a floral hem. She wears white heeled boots, comes with a pink hairbrush, and cuddles with a plush squirrel.
And Malibu is a blonde doll wearing a pink dress with purse graphic, ruffle shoulders, and a flounce hem. She wears blue heels and a matching blue headband in her long hair. The doll comes with a blue brush and a plush cat.
Each of the 13.5-inch dolls is sold separately.

Should I get it?
At two inches taller than traditional Barbie dolls, the My First Barbie dolls are a nice way to introduce fun Barbie play at a size that is just right for preschoolers. There is a My First Barbie YouTube series that kids can watch, however, a child doesn’t have to watch the show to have fun playing with the dolls. We like that there are four to collect and that each one has a different diverse look. The only negative we’ll say is that putting the shoes on the dolls was tricky, even for adults.
