The Miles Morales Web Launcher is a cartoony glove stylized like the chibi look found in the Spidey and His Amazing Friends show. Assuming your hands aren’t sasquatch sized, place your left hand in the glove and make the Spider-Man “thwooping” hand gesture. Pull back the tab and then “thwoop” with your middle and ring fingers to fire the dart. The rubbery material allows for some give, which is good, because the trigger mechanism takes up a lot of real estate inside the glove. The dart goes about 15 to 20 feet before dropping off. You only get two darts, so make sure to keep good track of them!

The Water Web Glove is mostly fabric, and comes with a green goblin target to shoot. To play with this glove, first use a shrinking ray on your right hand, then put it on and fill the blaster by submerging it underwater, and pumping the blast button. The fabric isn’t particularly waterproof, so expect your hand to get wet, and possibly the floor as well. Aim and shoot by “thwooping” the button on your palm. You’ll get 2-3 good shots before needing to refill.

Should I get it?

If you have a young child who loves Spider-Man, especially Spider-Man and His Amazing Friends, then these toys will provide plenty of amusement. They may not be as big a hit with slightly older kids.

Pros

  • The decor of both toys is fun and charming.
  • You get a practice target with the Water Web Glove.

Cons

  • The Web Launcher is tight on space, even with an appropriately sized hand.
  • 2 darts leaves very low margin for potential loss.
  • The Water Web Glove also requires frequent refills during use.
