Little Tikes Story Dream Machine Dr. Seuss Review

Books by a classic children’s author are making their way into the Little Tikes Story Dream Machine. If you’re a Dr. Seuss fan but don’t yet have a Story Dream Machine, you can get one in the new Story Dream Machine Dr. Seuss Starter Pack. This kid-friendly projector brings the adventures of Dr. Seuss stories – and others – to life. Three story cartridges are included: “I Am the Cat in the Hat”, “I Am Sam-I-Am”, and “We Are Thing One and Thing Two”. This will work with other Story Dream Machine cartridges, sold separately. Also included is a Cat in the Hat character figure that creates light effects when the projector is used in nightlight mode. 

Speaking of modes, this projector has all the same play modes as the original. During storytime, insert a story cartridge and press the play/pause button to start the projection and story. Two to six feet from the wall yields the best results, and you can adjust the focus knob to make the picture less blurry. Use arrow buttons to advance to the next page or go back to a previous page. The top and bottom buttons adjust the volume.

Placing the Cat in the Hat figure on top activates colorful light shows on the pretend film reel. And if a cartridge is not inserted, you can press the play/pause button to start soothing sounds, including projector, ocean, brook, cricket, and music box. 

There’s space for storing the cartridges on the side of the machine. Four AA batteries are included.
