If you like playing with Kinetic Sand, then you’ll like these two new Kinetic Sand sets.

Extending the slow-rise fun of last year’s SquishMotion set, new SquishBlossom lets kids make “blooming” flowers out of two colors of Kinetic Sand. Fill the flower mold with sand, press it down on the foam, and lift up to watch the foam and sand slowly rise and unfold. The foam is inside a plastic flower pot, so once your flower has been revealed, it looks like it’s already potted and ready to display. But, of course, kids will want to make more and more flowers. They can even mix the sand colors and use the flower pot’s molds to add leaves, bees, and roses. The Kinetic Sand and flower mold get stored inside the flower pot when playtime is over.

The sand inside the Splash Starter Case changes color in water. The case is divided into two sections: one area for warm water and one for cold water. In cold water, the six ounces of sand turns blue, and in warm water, it turns white. The lid of the case can also be used as a play area. Kids can rake through the sand with the rake tool or mold funny characters with the two molds. This sand will hold its shape in and out of water, but it’s not recommended that you mix it with any other Kinetic Sand except for more Kinetic Sand Splash. When playtime is over, make sure you dry everything before putting it back inside the storage case.
