Exploding Minions Card Game Review

If you like bananas, explosions, and flaming unicorns, then you’ll probably like playing the Exploding Minions card game, featuring the cute yellow guys from the Despicable Me and Minions movies. The game only takes about 15 minutes to play and is a family-friendly version of Exploding Kittens.

So essentially, each player gets eight cards, and then takes turns playing and drawing cards until somebody draws an Exploding Minion. That player gets booted from the game unless they can play a Defuse card. There are also Action cards that can be used to move, mitigate, or avoid the Exploding Minions. A See the Future card allows you to privately view the top three cards of the draw pile. A Skip card lets you end your turn without drawing a card. Shuffle cards let you shuffle the draw pile. An Attack card forces the next player to take two turns. A Nope card stops the action of another player. And Draw from the Bottom cards mean you can end your turn by drawing the card at the bottom of the draw pile. This game also has new Clone cards, which mimics the action of whatever card was last played. And the game has character cards that are powerless on their own, but if you collect a pair of them, you can use them to steal a card from another player.

The last player who hasn’t exploded wins the game.
