Cry Babies always wear cute animal-themed onesies, and now they’re wearing a onesie that looks like Disney’s Stitch! The soft blue onesie has an embroidered Stitch face on the hood with ears that stick out. The doll makes crying sound effects until you place the attached pacifier or included baby bottle in the doll’s mouth. You can even add water to the doll’s head so that the doll cries real tears whenever it cries. The crying feature is cool, but it does get water everywhere. The doll comes with two AAA batteries and is for ages 18 months and up.

Another new look for Cry Babies is Newborn My First Bath. This baby doll wears a non-removable swimming costume and makes baby sounds when placed in water. The included tub is the perfect place to play. Just fill it with water and place the baby doll in the tub. Sensors on the doll’s bottom will cause the doll to react with sound effects. For playtime in the tub, the set comes with a whale cup strainer, a rubber duck, a pretend bottle of shampoo, and a faucet attachment. Dry off your doll with the hooded duck towel. And just like the other Cry Babies baby dolls, this one will cry real tears if you fill its head with water and squeeze the head. For playtime without water, you can simply press the button on the doll’s stomach to activate different sounds. This doll requires two AAA batteries and is supposed to come with them for the in-package try-me feature, but ours did not have batteries. We also wish that the doll’s outfit opened up a little more in the back to make accessing the battery compartment easier. This doll is also for ages 18 months and up.

And from the new season of Cry Babies on YouTube, there’s Emma’s Morning Routine. Dressed in a cute dress with butterfly wings, this doll claps and dances with more than 25 sounds and reactions. One of the things you can do is insert the spoon into the doll’s mouth to hear eating and burping. And after she’s done eating, she’ll clap. The doll also responds to the toothbrush held to its mouth and the hairbrush brushing through Emma’s curly pink and purple pigtails. A pretend tube of toothpaste and washcloth are also included. If you don’t interact with the doll, you’ll hear crying sounds, and the hearts in the doll’s eyes will light up. After this, the doll goes into energy-saving mode. Three AA batteries are included. The doll is for ages 3 and up.

Should I get it?

All three of these dolls are really cute and will inspire imaginative play. It all depends on what your toddler and preschooler are looking for. Little ones who are into Stitch will like caring for a baby doll dressed in the Stitch onesie. Kids who like roleplaying classic parent experiences will like giving their newborn Cry Baby a bath. And older kids will have fun going through a morning routine, just like their own, with Emma.
