You’ve built magnetic vehicles with your Connetix tiles, but now you can build roads for those vehicles using Connetix magnetic tiles in the Roads line. Two packs, Creative Pack and Ramps & Intersections Pack, allow kids to make straight and curved pathways.
The Roads Creative Pack comes with 48 pieces, including four ramps, four turns, four T-intersections, four R-intersections, 20 small squares, two two-square rectangles, two three-square rectangles, four quarter circles, and four small rectangles.
The Roads Ramps & Intersections Pack comes with 16 pieces, including four ramps, four turns, two T-intersections, two R-intersections, and four small rectangles.
These sleek black tiles don’t have any road markings on them to provide more open-ended play. You also don’t need any specialized vehicles to work with these tiles. An inspiration booklet gives kids picture ideas of what to build, but there are no specific building instructions.

Should I get it?
These construction toys will make a nice addition to a Connetix collection. The tiles are sturdy for building flat and in 3-D, and the building play is totally open-ended. Because the tiles don’t have road markings on them, kids can use these tiles for building roads or something else. This will really encourage kids ages 3 and up to use problem-solving skills and creative thinking.
