American Girl 2022 Girl of the Year Corinne Doll, Book, and Accessories Review

2022 is the year of Corinne Tan, the newest member to American Girl’s Girl of the Year lineup. Corinne is a trailblazer, as an avid skier and a Chinese-American in her Colorado community. The 18-inch doll comes with a paperback book written by Wendy Wan-Long Shang so that kids can read more about the character, including how she’s a big sister to Gwynn and how she’s training her dog to be a search-and-rescue animal.

The Corinne doll has brown eyes that open and close, plus long black hair with turquoise highlights. She wears a white cable knit sweater, iridescent purple leggings, and blue boots with faux fur trim. You can pose the doll’s head, arms, and legs.

Corinne has a lot of accessories to bring her love of skiing to life. Corinne’s Accessories set comes with a pink knit hat, blue sunglasses with ombre lenses, pink knit legwarmers, a blue-tinted clear vinyl backpack in the shape of a circle, and a pretend ski pass.

Corinne’s Dog with Backpack accessory set includes a plush pup named Flurry, ball thrower, and pretend dog treats.

Corinne’s Ski Outfit set includes a zip-front puffy jacket, puffy ski pants, a headband, purple gloves with faux-fur trim, and pink socks.

The Ski Accessories set comes with a pair of skis with bindings, a pair of ski poles, a helmet, a pair of goggles, an elastic armband with a ski pass, a pair of ski boots that really clip into the skis, and stickers for the helmet.

The Ski Lodge Fire Pit has flickering LED flames, crackling fire sound effects, a bench, a throw pillow, a blanket, two cocoa mugs, and an insulated bottle.

There’s also an accessory pack for Corinne’s little sister Gwynn, which includes a multi-colored faux-fur beret, pink knit mittens with furry white trim, and a sequined backpack. The Gwynn doll is sold separately.
