Adding Alligator Review

What’s the equation for learning fun? How about a funny alligator friend plus colorful number blocks? That’s what preschoolers get with the Fisher-Price Adding Alligator. The 10 number blocks get stored right on the base, and kids can choose one, two, three, or four blocks to stack in the alligator’s mouth. This helps visualize counting and adding all the way up to 15. The alligator’s mouth slides up and down to chomp on the blocks, and the numbers on the side show the sum. Dots and fish on each side of the number blocks give kids another way to visualize one, two, three, four, and five. Playing with the blocks and sliding the alligator’s mouth also helps with fine motor skills.

Should I get it?
This is a cute way to help preschoolers develop early math skills. They’ll like stacking the blocks, making the alligator chomp on the numbers, and then checking their addition answers in the number slot on the side. This really helps kids visualize numbers and counting. Just know that if kids stack the blocks all the way to the top, it can be tricky to get them out, as the alligator’s mouth only goes so high.
