Party printables and DIY printable invitations offer the perfect solution saving parents both time and money. At Bird’s Party we have countless templates with countless themes offering all you need to instantly pull together a fabulous party for any occasion.
When setting up the party, the décor should be disposable so clean up can be a snap. However, that does not mean it has to be boring! Printables offer the perfect solution to quickly embellish tableware while creating a stylish, fun look. Here are some things to keep in mind for set up.
• The table will get messy—use paper tablecloths. At Bird’s Party we always use a roll of Kraft Brown Paper to line the tabletop. If you want a decorative tabletop, layer a tablecloth or runner over the Kraft Brown Paper. After the party, simply fold all the mess into the paper and dispose.
• The centerpiece should be kid-friendly and practical but, of course, it should also have that “Wow” factor. Using our Cupcake Decorating theme party as an example, the centerpiece also doubles also as a cupcake stand. We used empty baby cereal cans wrapped in scrap-booking paper from Bird’s Party Cupcake Kit, and stacked cake drum, which are wrapped in more Kraft Paper. The edge of the cake drums was covered with ribbon to match the printables, using hot glue. On top of the tiers, we added a tin can filled with kitchen utensils to create the effect of a bouquet. This is demonstrated in the photo shown.
• Each placesetting was equipped with decorating tools, a mini balloon whisk (doubling as a place card holder with name tags), and a DIY mini cupcake stand. The stand was made from gluing a glass coaster to an egg cup. This is demonstrated in the photo shown.
• As shown in the photo, the wall behind the table is decorated with cupcake paper cases of various colors that are attached to the wall with glue dots. This adds color to the wall and provides the perfect photo backdrop.
