Box Office, Guardians Blasts August Records

The latest Marvel/Disney, comic book-based movie,  Guardians of the Galaxy, had a stellar opening over the weekend with a $94 million debut. That figure easily gave the movie the title of “Best August Opening Ever”, which previously belonged to 2007’s The Bourne Ultimatum, and it’s $69.3 million opening.

Guardians has been getting some great reviews (Rotten Tomatoes Score of 89%) and even better word-of-mouth reports, which could lead to it being the highest grossing movie of the summer, and possibly the year. TTPM (that’s us) has been reviewing the toys for Guardians of the Galaxy. You can see those reviews now by clicking here.
