Gargantos Showdown is a small set of 264 pieces, and will take you about half an hour to build. Despite the brief build, it’s still enjoyable! I particularly enjoyed seeing how the pieces came together to create the glassy, bulbous, eye. It really does look like it’s full of bizarro monster eye goo due to the glossy finish on the colored domes.

After it’s done, you’ll have the monster Gargantos, Steven Strange, Wong, and the plucky MCU newcomer America Chavez. All of these minifigs are amazing. The decor is so dense that you can easily spend a very long time just staring at them, identifying each and every costume detail. Strange and Wong come with mystic energy to wield in battle, and America has a little pride badge. Not as battle-practical as energy blasts, but super cute nonetheless! Gargantos is exceedingly fun to pose. Each and every tentacle is articulated via ball joint, rotation, or a combination of both, so there are nearly endless posing options with this giant ghoulish cephalopod. There are even studs on top of Gargantos’ head to pose the intrepid, multiverse trekking trio, should you so choose.
