The Original Spirograph Animator Review

The Spirograph Animator is a new way of bringing your Spirograph designs to life. The Animator has two parts: the bottom base part is where you store supplies and turn on the flashing lights. But before you can do that, you have to make a design, and you do that by removing the design ring and spinner platform. Place a blank piece of paper between them, choose one of the six included wheels, and use one of the five included pens to rotate the wheel around the inside of the ring. When your design is done, leave the ring and paper locked in place and insert back onto the Animator base. Press the power button to turn it on and give the spinner platform a spin with your finger. It will continue to spin around while the strobe lamps create a series of unique animation effects from your designs. This occurs because of a “stroboscopic effect”, which kids can read more about in the instruction booklet. The instructions also include a basic pattern guide and design ideas to get kids started, but they are, of course, encouraged to create and experiment with their own designs.
