Last week during their Fall press conference, Nintendo unveiled the new version of the popular handheld gaming system, the DS. The new and improved Nintendo DSi is a slimmed down (as in thinner) and beefed up (as in tech improvements) version of the current dual and touch-screen device.
The screens have been enlarged, the sound quality increased and a 0.3 megapixel camera has been added, which I imagine will have more to do with how you play games rather than replacing your camera. Nintendo has also crammed an SD memory card slot and browser into the DSi. Unfortunately all these goodies come at a price and the DSi will not have the ability to play GBA (Game Boy Advance) games as the current DS does.
Look for the DSi in two colors, black and white, in stores next year.
