There are two new kid-centric games arriving today that should be worth your hard-earned dollars.
The first is Barbie: Jet, Set & Style from THQ. Barbie is producing an international Fashion Show, and the player will take on the role of Barbie’s top fashionista. This glamorous yet unpaid position will have kids jetting around the globe with Barbie on her jet salon. The salon touches down in exciting cities like Hong Kong, Paris and Rio de Janiero where it is up to the player to create glamorous hair styles, style trendy couture, and do makeup & nails for Barbie’s spectacular clients.
Barbie: Jet, Set & Style is available for the Nintendo Wii, DS/DSi. The game is rated E for Everyone and has a suggested retail price of $19.99 (DS/DSi) and $29.99 (Wii).
Up next is a less glamorous game but just as exciting. It’s the Ninjago Expansion for LEGO Universe from The LEGO Group. LEGO Universe is one of the sweetest MMOG (massively multiplayer online game) games that I have played in a while and the Ninjago Expansion is a huge new area within the game for players to explore. The expansion is based on the LEGO Ninjago toy line and includes more than 100 new missions.
LEGO Universe is an online game available on Mac and PC computers. The game is rated E10+ (Everyone 10 and up) and has a suggested retail price of $19.99. The Ninjago Expansion is free to premium members.
