Box Office: Gravity Pulls in Another Strong Weekend

Gravity held onto the top spot in it’s second weekend out. The movie took in another $43.2 million and continues to generate great word-of-mouth reviews, which should propel this movie to earn more than $200 million.

Captain Phillips debuted in 2nd with a solid $25.7 million and Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2 dipped to 3rd with another $13.8 million added to it’s plate. So far, the movie has earned $77.6 million, which is slightly less the original movie’s take at the same point.
