The closest thing to a family friendly movie opening this weekend is Here Comes the Boom. Boom is a comedy about former collegiate wrestler Scott Voss (Kevin James), who is now a terrible high school teacher. Scott takes an interest in his school when the music teacher (Henry Winkler), is going to be layed off due to cutbacks. Scott decides to return to his glory days roots and raise money by moonlighting as a mixed martial arts fighter. If I were you, I’d take the kids to see Frankenweenie or Hotel Transylvania.
Here Comes the Boom is rated PG for sports violence, some rude humor and language. It’s 105 minutes long.
