If you are in the New York City area this Saturday night and can’t wait until stores open on Sunday to buy the 3DS, then head over to the Union Square Best Buy (14th & 4th) for a midnight sale event.
Nintendo is planning a carnival of fun for the people waiting in line to buy the 3DS when it goes on sale at the Union Square Best Buy at midnight. The festivities get started in Union Square Park at noon with giveaways, live music, food vendors, drink stations and opportunities to play 3DS games while waiting in line. The official Nintendo countdown gets underway at 9pm with more fun, including Nintendo President and COO Reggie Fils-Aime (the guy in the picture) on hand to start the Countdown Clock. When the clock hits midnight, those in line will be the first to buy the 3DS and Best Buy will stay open until 2am.
We want to hear from you if you are going to be there Saturday night.
