Hansel & Gretel’s Candy Adventure Deluxe is a single-player puzzle game designed for ages 5 to 8. With 60 challenges from easy to expert, this game challenges players to use logic, planning, and hand-eye coordination to help Hansel and Gretel escape the witch’s enchanted garden. There’s even a picture book that encourages creative thinking as kids are invited to tell the story based on what they see happening in the pictures; there are no words to read.
For the puzzle game, open the challenge booklet and pick one of the puzzles. Place the pieces into the game grid as shown. Paying attention to the movement rules for each pieces (for example, the candy house cannot move, and the lollypop pieces can only slide one step), move the pieces so that the Hansel and Gretel pieces can move through the exit.Â

This is a fun way to introduce puzzle games to younger players. These puzzles can definitely be challenging, especially as you add more pieces to the gameboard. But it’s a fun challenge that gets kids thinking creatively as they play out different versions of the Hansel and Gretel story with each puzzle.Â
