Snap Circuits Soccer Shot Review

What’s better than watching soccer? Building your own soccer arena and playing an electronic version of the game. Snap Circuits Soccer Shot is a two-person tabletop game that introduces soccer fans ages 7 and up to real-working circuits. The STEM play is all in the assembly. Follow the instructions to snap together wires, switches, motors, and more, then decorate the arena with country stickers, logo stickers, and other fun soccer-themed stickers. There is a page in the back of the instruction booklet that explains how all the parts work. It looks a little intimidating at first, but the instructions do a good job of breaking things down into small steps, however, we didn’t always think the picture instructions were easy to follow. Younger kids will need adult assistance. You’ll also need three AA batteries, which are not included. Once built, take turns being the goalie and the kicker. Two soccer balls are included. To “kick” the ball, roll the soccer ball between the two spinning wheels, and use the control bar to aim your shot. Use the electronic score board to keep score, and when one “team” reaches three goals, swap roles. The first player to score nine goals wins. As you play, you’ll hear sound effects and phrases, and you can even adjust the speed of the spinning wheels.
