Playing games on Roblox is really fun, but so is taking the gameplay offline thanks to new playsets featuring Adopt Me! and Royale High.

The Adopt Me! Salon lets kids ages 6 and up collect and care for four pets. Fill out the adoption certificate for the pets and check out their rarity levels in the collector’s guide. Using the two human figures and 22 accessories, kids can set up a salon and pretend to give manicures at the nail station, dry hair under the hair dryer, and more. Shine the spray bottle light onto the poodle and dragonfly to reveal hidden designs. (Three button cell batteries are included.) And fill the bathtub with water for a color-change reveal on the tiger and a one-time color reveal on the penguin. When your pets have checked themselves out in the mirror, let them take a spin on the glam stage. You can even change the hairstyles of the humans. And the set includes a code to redeem a virtual item within the game.

With the two dolls in the Royale High Campus Castle Playset, kids ages 5 and up can play out a royal school day. Assembly is required for this one, and it’s a real pain. This two-foot wide castle features three floors and multiple accessory pieces to decorate with. Princess Aeverie and Leon the Knight can hang out in the locker courtyard, study hall, a dorm room, or a throne room. As with all the Royale High figures, Leon and Aeverie feature mix and match outfits, hair, and accessories, so the more figures you collect, the more you can customize their looks. You can customize the playset even further by adding other Royale High playsets, sold separately.

Should I get it?

Both of these playsets will inspire imaginative play for young gamers. But even for kids who don’t play Roblox, the pet play and princess play is still very appealing.

We like the color-change features of the salon and the collectibility of the pets. Plus, it was super easy to set up. The castle, on the other hand, took a long time for an adult to assemble, but it does offer a lot of space for kids to play and imagine.
