Magic Mixies Magic Genie Lamp Review

If you’ve been wishing for more Magic Mixies, then your wish has been granted with the Magic Mixies Magic Genie Lamp. By following the magic steps, including rubbing the lamp, kids will make a magic ring and reveal a Genie Magic Mixie all with more than 60 lights, sounds, and reactions. 

Start with instruction book 1 to discover the parts of the lamp, awaken the Mixie, reveal the ring, unlock the magic gem, and release the Mixie and its powers. Now you can use the Mixie and your ring to play three different games, as shown in instruction book 2. There’s Wish Granting Mode where you make a wish, and the Mixie lights up green for granted or red for denied. When you talk to your Mixie in Chat Mode, your Mixie will respond in its own language. And in Play Mode, touch your Mixie’s belly for a variety of responses. You can even balance the Mixie on the end of the lamp for display or on your ring.

There’s also more play with the lamp. You’ll be able to make the lamp play music and make mist, and you can even hide your Mixie or other toys in the lamp and open it when the front gem flashes white. 

If you want to do the whole Mixie reveal over again, you can reset the toy. The mist effect may be reduced after using the Genie Lamp multiple times, but refills are available and sold separately. 

The toy does require six AA batteries, and those are included.
