Magic Adventures Microscope Review

The Magic Adventures Microscope gives kids a microscope of their very own. Young biologists can collect their own samples and explore eight double-sided Smart Slides that activate more than 220 BBC videos and images. This real-working microscope has 50x-200x magnification and a 2.4-inch LCD viewing screen.

In Microscope Mode, kids can explore their own samples using two reusable slides or the large sample tray. Kids can also take pictures of their samples while in this mode, and those images can later be viewed in the microscope’s Gallery. The unit’s internal memory can hold up to 100 images, but you can store more or transfer images from microscope to computer with a micro SD card, which is sold separately.

If you want to explore educational content, insert a Smart Slide. Once inserted, kids use the D-pad to explore and select educational images with fun facts. If a video is selected, it will automatically play.

There’s also a Micro Adventure Game where kids feed, protect, and heal micro-organisms while removing micro-invaders. There are 24 game levels in this beat-the-clock game.

The microscope features volume control and light adjustment for the slides. Four AA batteries are included for the try-me mode. You might want to replace them before you play for best results.
