Explorer Trike 4-in-1 Review

The Globber Explorer Trike 4-in-1 is an all-in-one baby tricycle and balance bike. With four modes of use, this trike grows with your child and is super easy to switch between modes thanks to its tool-less design.

In the first mode, it’s an infant trike and can be used with babies from 10 months to 36 months. There’s a 33-pound weight limit. This mode is almost like a stroller because your baby is secured into the seat by a five-point harness and parents are pushing the trike with the parent push handle. In this mode, you can adjust the high-back seat to one of two heights and extend the adjustable anti-UV canopy. For more of the baby’s safety and comfort, there is a safety bar on the seat and a footrest. Parents will find that pushing this trike around is very comfortable for them, too, thanks to a built-in steering system, adjustable parent handle, and two rear brakes.

But as your child gets older, say 18 months, you can convert the trike to a guided trike. This removes the seat and canopy so that it looks more like a traditional tricycle, but it keeps the parent push handle. This is really all about letting kids practice pedaling while the parent controls the steering.

Then, when your child is 24 months, you can remove the parent handle and footrest and send your child pedaling off on her very own tricycle.

The final mode is balance bike mode, which is for kids ages 2 to 5. The pedals come off and the two back wheels become one. The last three modes all have a maximum weight limit of 44 pounds.

The best part of all of this switching between modes? You don’t need any tools. The pieces pop off thanks to quick-release buttons or can be unscrewed with the twist of a knob.
