PlayStation Network Back With Free Stuff!

It’s been nearly a month since the PlayStation Network was hacked and then shut down. This huge hassle for gamers turned into a PR nightmare for Sony and now Sony is trying to make things right with it’s network users. According to the PlayStation blog, now that some network services have been restored, Sony wants to say welcome back by giving away some free stuff including games.

PS3 owners can choose two of these games for free:
* Dead Nation
* inFAMOUS
* LittleBigPlanet
* Super Stardust HD
* Wipeout HD + Fury

PSP owners can choose two of the following:
* Killzone Liberation
* LittleBigPlanet (PSP)
* ModNation Racers
* Pursuit Force

Sony will also offer a free month of PlayStation Plus (the fee based edition of the PS Network) to subscribers who upgrade from the free (non Plus) level. Current Plus members will receive two free months. There will also be free trial run of some of the fee based services on the Network.

All this free stuff is great and I’m really looking forward to finally checking out LittleBig Planet. However, I’d really like a free year of credit monitoring services to make sure that my hacked information isn’t being used by identity thieves.

PlayStation Network users can claim these freebies once the network is fully restored by downloading the current system update.
