What It Is

It's hard to believe that Kirby is nearly 20 years old! This little pink marshmallow first appeared in 1992's Kirby's Dream Land for the Nintendo Game Boy and has gone on to star in numerous games since then, however, Kirby's Epic Yarn marks Kirby's first console platform game since the Nintendo 64 game, Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards.

Epic Yarn, an adventure game that pits Kirby against an evil wizard named Yin-Yarn, introduces a new, arts and crafts look for the series that is based on animated yarn and a world of cloth and textiles. Everything in Epic Yarn is made out of yarn and cloth, including Kirby who is rendered as a yarn outline. Game players will have the ability to unwind Kirby from his familiar form and transform him into a variety or yarn forms including a submarine, tank and an off-road truck. The entire fabric environment is also highly interactive and pulling on stray threads reveals hidden areas where Kirby can literally go behind the scenes.

The stunning visuals and unique game play of Kirby's Epic Yarn will make this a must play game for gamers of all ages and experience levels. Look for Epic Yarn in stores on October 17.
