In it’s fifth weekend in theaters, Skyfall moved back up the list to #1 and is minutes away from overtaking The Amazing Spider-Man‘s $262 million. When it does, Skyfall will become Sony’s highest-grossing movie in over five years. Rise of The Guardians (read Time To Play’s review here) also saw an uptick and moved up the list to #2, while Breaking Dawn slid from #1 to #3. The weekend’s only new release, Playing For Keeps, flopped with $6 million and premiered in 6th place.
This week will end with The Hobbit arriving in theaters on Friday. Will we be looking at record-breaking stats next Monday? Check back here on The Play Forum to find out.
