Look out Flintstones because there’s a new prehistoric family on the block. The Croods kicked dino-butt in it’s opening weekend with an estimated $44.7 million. Time To Play gave the movie 6 out of 10 See-it-Again Points (you can read our review here) and with little competition on the horizon, The Croods should continue to perform well.
Oz The Great and Powerful slid from #1 to #3 this weekend with another $22 million. The movie has now made $177.6 million, which should have the folks at Disney very happy.
The #2 spot went to one of the other new releases (there were three total) – Olympus Has Fallen. The action-flick about terrorist invading The White House performed better than anyone expected it to and took in $30.5 million. Unfortunately, the weekend’s final new release, Admission, received a dreaded letter of denial from audiences and barely made it into the Top 5 with $6.45 million.
