It’s a wonder how this dough and sand never dry out! Perhaps that’s why it’s called Wonder Factory. It’s the latest brand from MGA, and it includes a variety of playsets that engage kids ages 3 and up in sensory experiences, motor skill development, and creative play.

The Creation Station comes with three containers of Wonder Factory dough, five stamp caps, four extruder caps, an extruder, a connector, and a storage playset. Inside the storage playset, you’ll find a cutting arm and a roller holder along with lots of storage space for the tools and dough. The dough containers actually serve multiple purposes. Sure, they hold the dough, but they can also be used as rollers, the base for the stampers, and with the connector added, you can connect two containers.

There’s also a Wonder Factory Dough Mega Box Set, which comes with eight tubes of the Wonder Factory dough, plus 12 stamp caps, and six connectors. This is a great way to add to a collection with more dough, but there is plenty of creative play with just this set’s tools. Once again, the dough containers can be used to stamp, roll, and connect dough.

If you want to try out both the dough and the sand, then you’ll want the Wonder Factory Dough & Sand Mega Box Set. This contains four containers of dough, four containers of sand, 12 stamp caps, and six connectors. Yes, you can connect a container of dough to a container of sand. You could even mix the dough and sand together to see what kind of new texture you create.

Additional Wonder Factory sets are also available and sold separately.

Should I get it?

All of these playsets come with a lot of dough and tools to inspire creative play. It’s really up to kids’ imaginations how they want to play with Wonder Factory dough and sand. Unfortunately, the dough is difficult to work with. It “never dries out”, but it feels like it already has. The sand is really the better compound, offering lots of satisfying tactile play with all of the tools across the Wonder Factory line.
