Editor's Review
Ran out of paper but still want to draw? With The Original Spirograph DoodlePad, you don’t need paper to draw designs. This paperless and mess-free pad allows kids to create endless digital designs that can be displayed or erased for when you’re ready to create again.
Along with the Spirograph device, this comes with four stencil wheels and a double-sided drawing stylus. Make sure the device is in the unlocked position for drawing. Then place a stencil wheel into the DoodlePad. Holding the stylus upright, trace the outline of a shape around and around until you meet where it began. The designs that appear are colorful, and depending on where you draw, you’ll see almost all the colors of the rainbow. You can add to your design by tracing another shape from the stencil wheel, and the instructions offer design ideas to get kids started. When you’re done, lock the device to display your artwork, or press the erase button to start again. A storage compartment on the bottom of the device stores the stencils and stylus.
You’ll need two AAA batteries, which are not included.

Should I get it?
This is a cool way to create Spirograph designs at home or on the go. We like that it doesn’t require markers, pens, or paper, and that there is built-in storage for the stylus and stencils. However, moving the stencils around the device is not as fluid as with traditional Spirograph toys. We had some difficulty with the stencil wheels getting stuck and not moving, even when we were trying to go slow, and that was frustrating.
