Want something to stimulate your baby’s senses, become a treasured cuddle buddy, and grow with your child’s imagination? Then you want The Adventure Crew. There are six plush characters to collect along with sensory Activity Suits and even a storybook.

All six plush – Ella the elephant, Scout the dog, Sami the sloth, Gemma the unicorn, Jake the llama, and Bo the bear – have weighted limbs and bottoms for floppy hugs. Because these are designed for ages birth and up, each 11.5-inch plush has embroidered eyes and narrow points at the neck, arms, and legs to make it easy for small hands to hold. There’s a sewn-in loop on the back of each plush for attaching a plastic ring, sold separately, so that the plush can be attached to a stroller or activity gym bar for extended play. These are first edition characters, so you’ll also find an embroidered First Edition patch on each plush.

To extend the play with the plush, you can purchase Activity Suits for the plush to wear. These come in six styles. The High-Contrast Activity Suit features contrasting patterns in red, white, and black, perfect for offering visual stimulation to babies. The 123 Look at me Activity Suit features a baby-safe mirror in the middle, tags on the sides for babies to pull, and a pattern of colorful shapes and numbers. Reach for the Stars Activity Suit is an astronaut suit with a contrasting pattern and hanging stars and strings for babies to grab. The stars even rattle. The Sweet Sounds Activity Suit features a fun baking pattern and crinkly treats at the arms and feet – ice cream cone, cake, chocolate chip cookie, and cupcake. For bedtime, the Night Night Activity Suit can help with routine awareness. Show babies how they put their PJs on at bedtime just like their Adventure Crew character. And the Little Builder Activity Suit is all about pretend play. This costume dresses up your Adventure Crew character with overalls and a printed-on tool belt.

The collection also includes a board book that tells the story of how The Adventure Crew came to be. In The Adventure Crew: Here to Grow with You, kids meet twins Axel and Ana, and read about the adventures the twins have with The Adventure Crew.

Even though these toys are for ages birth and up, do not leave them unattended in a crib with a baby younger than 12 months.

Should I get it?

These stuffed animals are really cute, and when you pair them with the Activity Suits, you’re adding even more play value to them. We like the variety of characters to collect and the variety of Activity Suits. These engage babies in different sensory stimulation, and then as kids grow, the toys become fun playthings for imaginative play.
