Every kid deserves the opportunity to fly in a rocket ship and that’s why the Step2 Rocket Swing for Two is the perfect way for those kids to achieve that dream.  The Rocket Swing is for kids 9 months to 36 months and the maximum weight per child is 50 pounds. This is a two seater swing to hold two children; the double wall construction helps make sure the swing out lasts playtime for years. The rope holding up the swing is weather resistant, but it didn’t feel rough which was nice because the kids like to touch it while swinging. You could use this on a swing set as long as the swing set is six feet tall but, since we don’t have a swing set, we used the easy mount hardware to hang it up. Assembly for the Rocket Swing was easy as you just have to screw in the seat belts and the front gray nose. But, you do need a power drill to screw everything together. Along with a seatbelt there is also a t-bar that is a little added safety. However, the The t-bar is very hard to pick up and push down. It also gives the kids something to hold onto as well. The Rocket Swing helps with gross motor skills, sensory exploration, and self-esteem. For gross motor skills, the swing develops coordination, balance and engages large muscles for walking, climbing, running, and lifting. For fine Motor skills, it promotes hand eye coordination, the execution of precise movements, and the use of children’s hand and wrist muscles. For sensory exploration, kids can use their five senses to make sense of the world around them. And for self-esteem, the Rocket Swing instills confidence and self-respect, which helps children perform better in their everyday lives. The swing is easy to clean as you just wipe it down with a paper towel and water or just hose it down.
